Suppose we have a series of contacts that we want to subscribe to a newsletter in order to impact them with relevant content and offers to generate purchase interest.
To create a marketing campaign, the first step is to group the contacts to whom I am going to direct it into a marketing list . With the form generated, we are about to create the landing page where we will include our form. The process is similar to the creation of the previous element. An advantage of Dynamics 365 for Marketing is that the element creation editor is similar in all sections of the module. Therefore, if you know how to create one element, you know how to create the others.
In addition to the form, we can add text, images or links to our marketing page that we believe can enhance the user experience. Once our design is finished, the next step is to check that everything is correct and activate the page.

The last resource that will be created for our campaign will be a marketing email. In which we will include the landing page with our newsletter registration form. Like the other elements seen. When creating our marketing emails. We have templates based on our objective and an editor where we can mold the selected template to our image.

Once all the necessary elements have been created. The last step is to create a customer journey for the campaign automation. Customer trips or journeys are a set of actions programmed to be carried out automatically by the system. That together make up our marketing campaign.

An example could be an email with an offer to a segment. That we have created and depending on whether or not they enter it, send them one type of email or another.

As in the previous cases, to create a customer journey we have both templates and a simple editor. Once created, the last step would be to launch the journey and our marketing campaign would already be underway.

Campaign monitoring.

One of the advantages of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is that it not only allows the creation of campaign elements. But also the monitoring of them. For example, in the forms we can access the data collected to create the entities in our CRM or in the emails. We will have a timeline of all the actions on them. When it was sent and received or when it was opened). And even a heat map . Where you can see if the links that our email includes have actually been clicked or not.
